a new path in life

i have been meditating for a year now, and I am the happiest i have ever been. All aspects of my life have improved- finances, health, relationships, etc. My stress levels have dropped tremendously and I don't suffer from social anxiety as much. Overall, I feel more comfortable in my own skin. I can be in awkward situations and not feel awkward. And more importantly, I am having the most fun i have ever had with my son. We both meditate together in the mornings before we head out to school, and again in the evenings. It's been a great tool for him to deal with the woes of being a young teenager. We are both grateful to Light for showing us a less stressful and more productive path in life:)

I have tried meditation off and on, and I know it works, because when I can get into that zone, it is pure bliss. It is still easiest for me after yoga, or if I have not been getting enough sleep. When I am well rested, it is very hard for me to quiet my mind. When I wake in the morning, if well rested, i am raring to go, and hungry, so it does not work so well. But I do keep trying. And when I feel like my reserves of energy are low, I do take the time and do it and it does help. But actually getting to a place where I do it everyday when I wake, and again in the afternoon has just not happened for me...yet :) I'm ever hopeful.

Beyond grateful to have had this practice worked into my life. Light was the perfect teacher to train me on how to meditate; he is very informed and willing to answer any questions I had on meditation. Meditation for Me

As a busy executive, who also has two young children, I find it virtually impossible to find time for my "second" daily meditation, but by committing to at least ONE daily morning mediation, I am able to stay grounded throughout the day, enjoying the benefit of those vital adaptive energy units (AEUs)

When I don't meditate, I find that continuous sense of calm going right out the window. My old stress patterns return, and I'm no longer living in the present. Past and future come rocketing back to haunt me - serving no purpose other than to conjure up (unnecessary) stress.

Who knows? Maybe someday I'll find the time to get that second daily meditation into my schedule and REALLY feel the calm of spiritual enlightenment.

Meditation is a sweet and treasured moment of everyday that centers and attunes me. It is also working in my life outside of meditation.
Before I learned to meditate I read a book that talked about being present in everything you do whether it be sweeping the floor, washing your car, or making a pot of coffee. And although I understood conceptually how important it was and could appreciate the sentiment, it was like a short fuse for me, as quickly as I would acknowledge the moment is as swift as it disappeared because of a chain of thoughts, an interruption, etc.
I was washing vegetables for a salad today, and was present to my hands washing the vegetables, the water beating down on them, and the shiny silver of the sink. I was in a state of calm appreciation. These moments of serenity and joy in my daily doings are happening more often and for longer periods of time. I felt a peaceful feeling of "I am here". I wasn't in the past thinking about what someone said or how I should have responded, not in the future worrying will something come to pass. I am here. Such a simple statement with profound effect. Meditation is the catalyst for many of these moments. They are plentiful. And I am continuously grateful.

A Brilliant Tool

I spent a Friday night listening to Light speak about the practice of meditation in his calm, grounded, peaceful way and I was clear that I was ready to invest in myself in order to learn a tool that could allow me to create my own calm, grounded, peaceful way of being. Four months on and I have not missed a single day of meditation. The changes are subtle but add up like raindrops into an empty pool. Before I know it, the water has covered the the bottom of the pool. I am calmer, I am more grounded and I feel more peace. When I start to doubt, Light is there to support me. Best of all, I committed to something I believe in and I do it, every single day, and that in of itself is has shifted how I see myself. Thank you, Light.

When I first walked into Light's class, I had severe insomnia. At some points, the best I could hope for was sleeping every 3 days or so. After practicing meditation for a couple of months, I was sleeping very deeply, and for at least 10-12 hours a day. What also comes with it, is a valuable physical application to a philosophical premise that most people only merely pay lip service to. You don't have to believe in it, you don't have to imagine some kind of spirit animal or become a lotus for it to work, it just does.

I've only been Meditating for a short time so I can only share my limited experience with you. I can tell you that It's made an impact on my life all for the positive so far. I am calmer. I feel more connected to myself and my instincts. I am becoming self aware. It's not always easy to meditiate twice a day, but it's a lot harder to not. I am so grateful for this gift!


Feeling great

I had PTSD in the past and struggled daily with tension and nervousness. I feel a lot better after daily meditation (I do the morning ones religiously but he evening ones I miss a lot) and feel lighter, calmer, not-so-easily-rattled and ready for daily challenges. Add to this that I am a muslim and I pray 5 times a day to Allah the almighty creator (one God) which in itself is meditation scattered over 5 times per day (Prophet Muhammed knew this same secret 1400 years ago). My family feels the difference in my attitude to life. Thanks Light and thank you God for this blessing.


Ride the Light

Light has been a great teacher and continues to be so in my life. I took his 3 day workshop almost 2 years ago. I have been raving about it to friends because I had been trying out other techniques that just didn’t work for me. It isn’t just the techniques that TM offers that make it effective. I also believe that it has a lot to do with the teacher. It never fails that I get Light’s emails with anecdotal messages that coincidentally applies to something currently in my life.
He was also someone who I instinctively turned to when my health was in question. He was quick to remind me to remain positive and continue with my meditation. It is in these moments when we realize how invaluable our meditation practice really is. I realized how well I handled the period of uncertainty. I am thankful to those minutes which were a solace during the time of my distress. Meditation is a must for me now-that time is sacred.


Slowly Changing

I have been meditating for more than a year. Light was my teacher and he is amazing. I have only missed two or three meditations since I started. Its about the only thing that I do on a regular basis without forgetting to do it. Its astonishing how what I feel and thoughts that come during each meditation differ. Sometimes I dwell on things in my life in the past all the way to when I was about 14 years old. Often I do not even remember the last half of the meditation session. A few times I stop and I am really surprised to see it has been much more than 20 minutes. At first I did not notice any changes in me and thought I was not doing it correctly. But now I know I am slowly feeling more at peace and less concerned with my past or my future. The longer I practice meditation the better it will be. I can honestly say that Light has really changed me. Jai Guru Deva.

Light has been my meditation teacher for 6 months. I had just begun to meditate on my own a month prior, yet after meeting him my practice has been refined so much. Since adopting this practice into my life, I have become more accepting of myself. There's just something about quietly turning inward twice daily to re-connect with myself and the Source. I always thought that I was "acquainted" with myself because I valued spending time alone, but I now know that there's a difference. The benefits....I would say that I'm more organized than I've ever been, I'm more vested in becoming "myself" fully, and I'm more creative and intuitive. I'm so thankful for these changes as I'm in the middle of some major life transitions related to marriage, career, and family. I know that the timing of meeting Light was in accordance with what I needed to adopt and refine in my life. I am so grateful for my meditation practice, and for my teacher who seems to always be there to simplify my practice and encourage my growth.

I took Light's class in Sept. 2011. At first the anxiety of the unknown and mysterious coupled with the self doubt of "doing it wrong" made meditation a goal to be mastered. Eventually, I stopped trying to master my meditation, and just... meditated. Since, I've been calmer, clearer about life, and more productive. It has become a positive addiction (sometimes I sneak off from friends or work to meditate) and the foundation of my day. Moreover, I think it has helped to calm my eczema. I had always wanted to learn to meditate and stumbled across Light's free class. I had actually taken yoga at some point in time from him so I felt safe enough to attend. That was a least a year ago. I have not been "perfect" with my meditation (missing chunks of time here and there) but what I can say is that when I am consistent the results are VERY consistent. Light is a eloquent and patient teacher/coach. He is wise and offers wonderfully simple ways to understand the process of meditation. I HIGHLY recommend spending time with him to learn this amazing practice. I am so happy to have had the experience with him. Such a warm and safe environment. !! GO- you won't be sorry!!!


Overcoming PTSD

What happened to me over 35 years ago when I was in the US Army in what I will call the Vietnam period of my life only took 5 to 10 minutes out of my life.I had forgotten about it until I visited the Vietnam Wall in July of 10 after that I became very depressed, sleep issues, sadness, a feeling of worthlessness.I told my doctor and he put me on antidepressants for 9 months.I also saw a Therapist and she used EMDR therapy.She also suggested meditation.I then went to LIGHT and took his crash weekend course in July of 2011 in Chicago.I can proudly now tell you I am off of all meds,I no longer see the Therapist, but I am still meditating.All I can say is thank you to God or what ever force sent me to see the LIGHT.I can see myself doing this the rest of my life.And again thank you LIGHT and Jai Guru Deva.


Peace of Mind

My experience with Light, as a teacher has been most positive. His teaching style as very informative, gentle, and enlightening. I knew I needed a method to quell my busy mind and sometimes negative thoughts. Through Light's teachings and methods I was able to learn to meditate and understand how and why it works for me.

I meditate twice a day sometimes early in the morning and then in the afternoon. It calms my busy mind and quells my sometimes troubled soul. Sometimes I repeat my mantra to assist me in falling asleep. I've noticed that it also calms me when I'm riding my motorcycle.

I'm very pleased with my practice of meditation and will continue forever.

Like most New Yorkers, I used to multi-task, fly from project to project and never seem to have enough time for anything. Now, this is the best time I spend every day. I can't start the day without it and look forward to it in the afternoon. There is always time. I am more effective, less volatile and more prone to think before I speak or react. I focus better, so I don't feel it necessary to multi-task, I finish one project before jumping to the next and realize that time is mine to do with what I want. It is all a matter of choice. The other benefits are even more important. Things just don't bother me as much as they once did and I am able to "flow" better through my day. The grounding and peace it brings are necessary for me now. Light makes the process enjoyable, accessible and easy. All you have to do is observe his nature and see the light in his eyes and smile to see the effects of this most necessary practice. And, the good news, whatever you are doing - however your practice flows, it is always right...a good lesson for other aspects of your life.

I have try for many years different types of meditations, PRANAS, CHANTING, MUSIC, SOUND, in a group, alone etc, non of them where as helpful for me as meditating with LIGHT!

Light is a very dedicated, caring, and confident teacher. HE REALLY WANT'S YOU TO EXPERIENCE WHAT MEDITATION DOES FOR YOU.

I love it, now my life has changed, in many aspects. I am happier person, more calm, more secure, even my voice has changed. I meditate 2 times a day sometimes 3.

I had two out of body experiences, the first one, I went to paradise, and the second WAS EVEN MORE RELIGIOUS.

I definitely recommend to lear MEDITATION with LIGHT, it is the most important thing you can do for the growth of your spiritual life as well as for your personal evolution.

If you are considering a meditation practice I have been right where you are. I questioned why I would need a meditation practice when I already do yoga...a lot? Why would I want to slow down, won't that make me less productive? 20 minutes?...TWICE a day?...I need something that creates less stress, not something MORE to obligate myself to...and it's expensive training!!! The Vedic method provides the best foundation to learn the benefits of meditation. It is intense, but very effective. I cannot list all the ways it continues to open my eyes, but I can say that I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from Light Watkins. His approach is simple, and that is what meditation is, simple. And dont let the distance deter you. We live far away from one another, but he has always been available to me for very personal consultation specific to my needs. That is priceless. Please do this for yourself, and with Light. You'll be so glad you did:)


Best thing I have ever done for me!

Last year my husband and I took Light's vedic meditation course in NYC for 4 consecutive nights. It was the best decision we ever made and the fact that we went together and could start our practice together was nothing short of brilliant. Light is an amazing teacher and showed us how easy meditation can be. I can't do it justice to describe it here so I won't. It's something you have to experience. Every day, twice a day, for 20 minutes I put into practice what Light taught us over those 4 days and it has made such a tremendous difference in my life. Feeling calmer and more grounded is something I really needed. After taking the course Light has continued to come back to NYC and always offers us the opportunity to come for a refresher. He sends emails to us regularly to help us to remember the ease of meditation and to share his insights to help us to continue to develop our practice. To think that for 33 years of my life I never took the time to STOP and just BE. The few months before meeting Light I thought meditation would be impossible for an active brain such as mine. I found Light's website online and was drawn in by his ease, calm and sense of comfort. My intuition suggested I find out what Vedic meditation was all about. Light As A Teacher

There are a lot of reviews that can talk about how meditation will change your life (and it will) and there are reviews that elaborate on how the style of meditation Light teaches is accessible and easy to integrate into your life (and it is) but I want to write about why Light is a great a teacher (because he is). I chose to attend Light\'s classes when I saw a review where the person commented on how they had tried meditation a couple of times before but how it only stuck with Light. You see as a university professor I\'m going to pay attention to not just what I\'m learning but how I am being taught - and Light teaches very, very well.

Light is confident, yet humble. He is the kind of expert who knows when to stop talking and let his students learn from the peers in the room. His non-judgmental approach and goofy laugh succeed in engaging students, making you comfortable enough to ask even really silly questions. But it isn\'t simply about personality; good teaching is about ensuring the content is delivered in a way where everyone will be motivated by at least some of the narrative. This is where Light excels. The whole approach is too informal to follow a tight script and yet each session weaves together personal anecdotes, evidence-based research as well as metaphors and parables that have been passed down for generations. There is something for everyone. Woven together the story telling in each session builds upon the tools for how to meditate by laying the foundation for why the student should commit to practice meditation. Most importantly Light has the humility to acknowledge that learning meditation is a process, that the only real way to learn is to practice. So my recommendation is to choose Light in the beginning so that you\'ll be sure to have what you need to be your own best teacher as your practice matures.

Light was highly recommended to me by someone who spoke with such reverence for this type of meditation. Not only did they seem very passionate about the practice, they also connected that passion to Light as a teacher. I was more than interested to try it on for size. Now, I'm just as excited and committed to this meditation in my journey.

Light did an excellent job of giving solid information along with vivid and engaging metaphors that anchored the understanding for me. I recall them fondly and see them as a buoy for my training. I've been on a conscious spiritual journey for over 15yrs now, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how all of the teachings I've been learning along the way are reiterated and supported through this practice. Spontaneously quit smoking!

Light taught me how to meditate this January, and within about 2 to 3 weeks, I just spontaneously quit smoking....this after years and years of trying to quit with no avail! I just didn't want to smoke anymore. Since then, I have been around several smokers and have had no urge at all to smoke. I even drank a bit too much alcohol one evening...and still had no desire to smoke a cigarette! Amazing, truly amazing. The funniest thing is, I didn't even consciously try to quit. :) I also have went through various stressful events calmly since meditating instead of my prior "freak out" mode of coping. This skill is priceless. I can't imagine how many physical and mental benefits it has. Oh, and lastly, I just got my full battery of blood tests back from my doctor and had the test results and the vital statistics of a 20 year old athlete (I am 44)! Learn to meditate!! It will change your life dramatically!

Meditation was not something I thought I needed, but a friend told me I need to do something to handle my stress, so I Googled meditation, lo and behold Light was having a Vedic meditation course in an upcoming weekend. It has been an eye opening experience, from the moment I walk into the session till now. I'm only a few weeks into meditating but so far I've noticed a positive effect on my health (deeper sleep, reduction of stress). I particularly liked that Light taught us techniques that were realistic for a hectic life where taking time for oneself is a rarity. I would highly recommend this practice and Light particularly as a teacher--I feel like I've gained something immeasurable in terms of my health and general well-being.

I wasn't really sure if this course (or meditation in general) was going to work for me, but after the Intro session with Light, I couldn't wait to sign up for the course! What really convinced me was when Light explained that this type of meditation practice/technique is particularly well-suited for busy people who work regular jobs and you don't have to sit for hours in uncomfortable positions or build a sound-proof meditation shrine in the middle of your apartment! In other words, it's practical meditation for practical people - and it works! Light instantly puts you at ease and his teaching style is very engaging, easy-to-follow and easy-to-understand. I'm just beginning my meditation practice but already feel it is having a positive effect in my life - it helps to calm, relax and bring peace to my mind and body while at the same time I feel I am more alert at work and can concentrate better. I've recommended Light's course to several of my friends. If you have any doubts at all, I would highly recommend attending the Intro session - it's just one evening but it could end up having a huge positive impact on your life!

The Vedic Meditation technique I learned through Light Watkins was fantastic. He made it very easy to learn and enjoy. His explanations were very thorough and easily understandable as well. I have tried meditating before with no success. Though so many people have recommended it, none have ever explained that there is a method on how to practice. I, as I am sure many others, used to just sit and try to clear my head and think of a black space. I was never able to get "there". Now, with the proper tools, meditating is much easier to understand and to practice. I am only in the first stages but I have never been able to relax and enjoy the experience as I do now. Light is exactly as his name says. His gentle approach helps you on your path and his detailed explanations on both a spiritual and scientific level resolve so many of those unanswered questions many of us never had a chance to ask or understand. Everyone should have a little "Light" in their lives. : )

Tinnitus

In 2009, I contracted tinnitus, a/k/a ear ringing. The ringing was constant and loud, caused insomnia and impaired my quality of life. I consulted two ENT physicians, a hypnotist and four dentists. One doctor told me "learn to live with it." Prior to requesting valium, I decided to try meditation. I am happy to report that with Light Watkin's help, the ear ringing has significantly diminished. Meditation has allowed me to have peaceful and uninterrupted sleep. I am now able to enjoy my family and friends and pursue my passions with energy. My fighting spirit has returned!


Fantastic teacher & course

I hadn't been looking to learn how to meditate, but my 12-year-old son was recently diagnosed with ADD, and meditation is one of the (many) recommendations for helping ADD-sufferers. I was skeptical about learning myself, but happy to try it with my son. I'm SO glad we did. Light was patient and easygoing, making meditation both accessible and surprisingly wonderful. My son and I each came out of the experience totally hooked. We each look forward to meditating every day and love how relaxed and wonderful we feel. I'm so glad we found such a fantastic teacher.

I attended a TM intro course and felt somewhat turned off but continued my search for meditation classes. After Light's introductory class, I knew that I had found the right class and teacher. The class was everything I hoped and Light was a perfect teacher. It feels great knowing that I can reach out to him with any questions.

I've tried other forms of meditation which haven't quite worked for me, so I was referred to take Light's class on Vedic meditation in LA. I can't compliment enough his intelligence, knowledge, gentle demeanor and passion for what he does. He taught the class thoroughly and remained approachable in the process. Though the class is complete he is still following up with me about my practice. I highly recommend taking meditation classes with Light Watkins.

I had always been interested in meditation but never tried it. A friend of mine told me about her experience with Light's class and vedic meditation so I though I would give it a try. It's the best decision I've made in while. I look forward to my morning meditations as a way to start my day off right, and my evening meditations as a way to clear the clutter of the day. Light is a great teacher who makes difficult concepts easy to understand. He is a patient and generous teacher. The week of classes really opened my eyes...it's a life changer!

Meditation has come & gone in my life. But, it is now here to stay. Now, that I finally found my Guru-Light. It is not only the technique(TM)that simplifies your efforts. It is Light's style of teaching-lucid & engaging. He helps you to understand what meditation actually entails and exposes the nitty-gritty of the process. Enrolling in Light's course was truly one of the best decisions I've made in a long time. I'm someone who has tried numerous methods of meditation - I've read books, articles, used brain entrainment CDs and none of them resulted in a practice that I felt had an impact. My brain just didn't seem to want to shut down no matter what I tried until Light's course. Light's course offers a really important element that was missing in the other methods I've tried - guidance. You learn this very simple and applicable technique but you also gain a vast understanding of what meditation does for you on a physical and emotional level. Light is able to help coach you on the experiences you're having as you begin working with the technique. I left the course feeling confident in my developing practice and look forward to my meditations. I've only been practicing 2 weeks now and I'm already noticing a shift in my sleeping (I've suffered from insomnia since January) and in my energy level throughout the day.

A Quiet Anchor of Daily Life

Meditation is fast becoming a central part of my daily life. I look forward to my morning session when I go to sleep and I look forward to coming home from work for my evening session. I am increasingly able to dwell at a base level of thought where I feel completely at rest - mentally, physically, spiritually - yet still excited and happy. Leaving my meditation sessions I am more awake, more energetic and more positive. I even find myself more hungry for healthy foods. Light was a great teacher. He has real passion and patience and provides a wonderful balance of guidance and self-work. I highly recommend him and have already passed information about the course onto several of my friends.

After a year of many changes, I was feeling emotionally frayed and stumbled across Light's intro to Vedic Meditation session. After some internal debate about whether or not I should sign up for the actual class, I decided to bite the bullet and sign up.

It has been one of the best investments I've made to maintain positive mental health. You gain tools that help combat life's everyday stresses.
Light is a wonderful instructor that cares about the practice and how you are growing within it.

His class has given me an outlet for peace that I had not before. It's helped in the decisions that I make and the disposition I carry. You won't regret your choice to take Light's class, I promise!

I took Light's course last year, have been practicing ever since and can't recommend it highly enough! Most people tell me they can't possibly sit still to meditate, but the Vedic technique provides an effortless and practical tool in meditating. It's a great de-stresser and a sanctuary when times are tough. A surprising benefit for me has been a huge increase in creativity! Light's way of teaching is delightful. His sense of humor and focus on science made learning meditation easy, pragmatic and down to earth. Vedic Meditation is a true gift.

I was introduced to vedic meditation during an extremely busy week for me. I was debating on whether to learn the practice and deprioritize a lot of what was on my schedule or plan to do it during a better time for me. I am SO glad I decided to just go ahead and do it, even though it was not exactly convenient. I since experienced a profound change in myself, I am much more relaxed and clear on my goals and priorities, and I attribute this to my now regular meditation practice. I encourage anyone who is going through the same debate to just take the plunge. You will find its so worth it!

I have been wanting to take Light's Intro class for some time. Some of my friends have done so in the past and recommended him highly. However, even their glowing recommendations could not prepare me for how amazing this experience was for me!
Light has a serene presence that struck me upon our initial introduction. His explanation of Vedic meditation and subsequent instruction of the technique was easy to follow and informative.
I felt that I was being gently reminded of and guided back to something that I had forgotten... almost as if I was coming home.
His approach makes meditation feel accessible rather than intimidating and I was relieved to discover that this is something that I could realistically incorporate into my daily life. I'm hooked!

Something to commit to...

I had the opportunity to attend a special Intro to Meditation session with Light in Miami last weekend. Without going into too much detail, this was exactly the information I needed that I didn't know I needed.

The sessions with Light were very informative and he's a very patient teacher. I'm practicing Meditation as a way for me to connect with myself, grow in that knowledge and heal. I'm already seeing changes in my outlook. The fact that I've committed to something so life-changing is evidence of that change.

Light is a fantastic and very patient teacher. I have always been interested in meditation but never found the time to even try. Based on Light's intensive course I am now FASCINATED and EXCITED about the whole process. He explained the practice from every aspect - spiritual, physical, bio-chemical etc and has a great array of analogies which very much helped this student understand and get into the practice.

I would HIGHLY recommend this course to anybody that is open to it.

As a physician and mother of two young children , I was starting to feel stress taking a toll on my physical well-being.My neck was so tense I was told I needed massages on a regular basis. I decided to look into meditation as a source of stress relief and moved by a desire for spiritual growth. Even with a busy schedule I have not missed a meditation in 1 month. I never imagined I could make the time for it but Vedic meditation is so simple and yet so powerful. Light is a truly gifted teacher. He has the ability to integrate all this ancient wisdom with a modern lifestyle and make it so logical and effortless. I know I still have a lot to learn. You get support from Light even after the course has ended and he is always available. My neck pain is now gone. Things just do not bother me that much anymore. While always borderline when it came to practicing anything related to spirituality, this course with Light changed me - mind, body and soul. When I met Light, I was going through this anxiety filled and long-winded transition (although all of life is a transition, yes?), and knew that something had to change. I had to change! And so I started out believing that I just needed to learn how to become more focused and reduce stress.. But came out with much more, and know that I've yet to really experience the full benefits of the vedic meditation practice.

I'm now enjoying this roller coaster of a transition :) and while it's still a struggle, I look forward to meditating everyday!

If you're looking to learn meditation and dont need to be part of the status quo, this would be the place for you. The teacher's name is Light and he teaches what they call vedic meditation - a simple form of stress management and release. Vedic meditation is more commonly known as "transcendental meditation" and the only difference between the two is that the latter has been trademarked.

If Russell Simmons and Hugh Jackman do it, then maybe it might be one of their keys to a successful and seemingly happy life, right?

After an informative introduction and over the course of about 6 hours total, Light will teach the process in the most simplest way and give you the tools to carry on a practice that is easily manageable to fit into even the busiest of lifestyles. He's a charming and intelligent teacher who is always accessible to his students even after they complete their course.

I was never a spiritual person. But when I had to focus on my health a few months ago I started realizing that my thoughts are full of BS generated through unnecessary obstructions. I had to force myself to downshift in order to concentrate on the important things in my life and not to take unimportant stuff too much to heart. I thought meditating would may be help me to be able to focus on the important things and make the right decisions for myself. The week with Light changed my life. I am able to calm down, let go, focus on me, my body and what is really good for me. I stopped smoking, for the first time in my life without suffering! I feel much stronger. I feel like I could achieve everything I want now. Delightening!!!

Oxygenated - literally and figuratively

Light is a naturally dynamic speaker and educator with a riveting, compassionate presence. His sessions leave an immediate positive, uplifting impact. The meditation experience is like truly breathing, metaphorically speaking. For the past couple weeks, those words resurfaced during my meditation practice when I began feeling as if I've been breathing my whole life but without really breathing, symbolically speaking. After meditating with Light, I feel more oxygenated both literally and figuratively. Meditation has become the gift I give to myself: a private space to get out of negative mental, self-inflicted "incarceration." Finding "the Light"

I found Light after being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome a couple months ago. I was online researching alternative healing methods and I was fascinated once I tapped into the research done on the astounding benefits of meditation. It seemed too good to be true, but being a mother of two busy little boys, I was desperate and open to try anything to better my chronic condition.

I cannot express in words how much meditation has benefited me. It has literally "saved" me. Light is a superb teacher. He is extremely intelligent, knowledgeable and eloquent. He is charming and charismatic, and possesses a very calm and practical approach to teaching. He takes away the connotation of meditation being pigeon holed as a "hippy fad" to practical everyday benefit to everybody. I always left his class feeling enlightened, empowered and wanting more. The only thing meditation asks of you is a little time, the rest is effortless.

I feel like a "whole" new person, and the changes in me have been so staggering that many people in my life have commented on the noticeable difference in my appearance, energy levels and overall disposition.

Meditation is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It has changed my life. Thank you Light for putting me on a new path to a better me.

Light changed my life and gave me peace in one of the toughest situations I have ever gone through. Not to mention the practice is beginning to help me broaden my horizons while making beats which was one of my main goals.
